OIF Portfolio Companies Searching for Summer Interns

A key aspect of OIF’s mission is to expose and educate college students about the venture capital process, as well as life at start-ups. Through our Student Experience Program, we help train the next generation of entrepreneurs and venture investors in Ohio. To date, OIF and its portfolio companies have hosted more than 50 students for internships and shadow experiences.

OIF also coordinates with our companies that host their own interns throughout the academic year and summer, which is another way students can work in a startup environment in the Midwest. Below, we’ve included several summer internship and full-time job opportunities for students and recent graduates who are interested in working at a startup.

Complion, an eRegulatory and document management platform for clinical research sites, is searching for a Finance Intern for summer 2019. This position is an ideal fit for a finance or accounting major who is looking to gain experience in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment, while interacting regularly with the CFO and CEO.

The intern will help with the following duties:

  • Assist with basic accounting (AR,AP, etc)
  • Excel skills
  • Help maintain the corp data base
  • Assist with some of the benefit programs (Health Ins, 401K)
  • Assist with bank project
  • Assist with new software applications

Aware, an AI-infused solution for collaboration security and compliance, is looking for a Digital Marketing Intern and Social Media/Content Marketing Intern for summer 2019. These positions are an ideal fit for juniors or seniors majoring in one of the following fields: communications, advertising, marketing, business, new media or public relations.

The Digital Marketing Intern will assist with the following duties:

  • Develop calls-to-action, landing pages, emails and lead generation content within a content management platform
  • Create, schedule, and analyze all social media updates
  • Manage and optimize paid search campaigns
  • Be data-informed about what’s working and what’s not
  • Experiment with new growth strategies and ideas

The Social Media and Content Marketing Intern will assist with the following duties:

  • Identify, research and write content on a variety of industry-related topics
  • Create, schedule and analyze blog posts and email updates
  • Create, schedule, and analyze all social media updates
  • Ghost-write thought leadership pieces for key leaders in the organization
  • Be data-informed about what’s working and what’s not

RXQ, a pharma compounding company, is looking for a full-time Marketing and Sales Support Manager. This position is ideal for a candidate with 1-3 years of relevant experience.

The Marketing and Sales Support Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Working with internal and agency teams to identify and pursue aggressive new link building opportunities
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting results on sales performance
  • Understanding digital marketing goals in order to translate goals into executable strategies through ongoing maintenance and enhancements
