Mezu Partnership Brings New Donation Mechanism to Cleveland Orchestra
As a new mobile payment app, Mezu made the perfect partner for the Cleveland Orchestra when the ensemble celebrated its 100th birthday with a donation effort aimed at younger audiences. During the Star-Spangled Spectacular show July 6, Mezu gave concertgoers the opportunity to donate directly to the orchestra’s youth education and community programs, which reach some 60,000 people per year. The orchestra’s Center for Future Audiences program has helped grow the 25-and-under portion of its classical concert audience to 20% – making the Mezu app, which appeals to millennials who are more inclined toward micro-donations – a great ally.
