TechOhio asked a group of Ohio entrepreneurs to lay out their predictions, plans and expectations for the new year, and among them was Jeff Schumann, CEO of security intelligence platform Wiretap. Schumann’s 2019 wishes included better mechanisms to connect students with startups, and a stronger focus on protecting people and data in corporate culture.

Genetesis Chief Medical Officer Talks Shop with ACEP

MedTech Startup to Solve Chest PainFor an episode focusing on biometric cardiac screening, the American College of Emergency Physicians’ Frontline podcast brought on Dr. Alisa Niksch, chief medical officer for cardiac imaging technology company Genetesis Inc. The podcast addresses the most popular topics in emergency medicine, and with magnetocardiography becoming a hot topic, the organization reached out to Genetesis for its renown in the field.

Global Cooling Secures Series B Funding

Global Cooling, maker of the Stirling Ultracold ultra-low temperature freezer, announced in late 2018 that it had achieved its Series B funding. The company’s goal is to use the investment for new product development and working capital, helping push it toward its $100 million revenue target.
