Eccrine Systems Awarded USAF Contract
Eccrine Systems is bringing its innovative sweat technology to the United States Air Force. The Cincinnati-based, med-tech startup received a $750,000 SBIR Phase II contract that will focus on the real-time measurement of biomarkers in human sweat to help further index and record cognitive performance. The benefits of this partnership are twofold: The USAF receives further research about the productivity and health of its personnel and Eccrine Systems garners greater commercial exposure.

Major Cybersecurity Resource Taps Wiretap
Venture capital database CB Insights published its Periodic Table of Early-Stage Cybersecurity Startups, complete with 150+ startups and investors – each offering something different in the cybersecurity sector. OIF portfolio company Wiretap can be found under the Insider Threat Detection section for its ability to proactively tackle internal security risks that may stem from employees, former staff members, contractors and other personnel that may posses unique access to sensitive data and networks.

Stirling Ultracold Becomes Supplier of The Year
VWR, a major international laboratory supplies distributor, recently recognized Stirling Ultracold with its 2017 Supplier of the Year Award. This comes as even greater news because VWR is approaching $5 billion in total sales, with the assistance and innovation from Stirling Ultracold leading the growth.
Stirling Ultracold is currently the ULT biological freezer of choice for many leading institutions and universities across the nation, including MIT, Harvard and multiple schools in the University of California system. They are the world’s most efficient ULT freezer and the first ever company in the industry to receive Energy Star certification.
