Q: What does OIF bring to the table besides funding?

While one of OIF’s main objectives is to provide funding to early stage companies, our support doesn’t stop there. We offer expertise from our experience building successful companies, as well as an extensive network from Silicon Valley. We leverage our network of strategic partners, investment partners, universities and global customers to drive top line growth at our portfolio companies. While we’re in the trenches with our startup teams, we provide guidance and support for critical areas, such as executive recruitment, building financing syndicates, product roadmaps, new market entry, sales strategy, positioning, regulatory approval, merger and acquisition advisory and more.


For example, OIF company DatAnchor is a local cybersecurity spin-out of Ohio State University. The company needed to fill a board seat with an experienced professional. Through OIF’s connections, we were able to bring on the SVP of Worldwide Sales from Barracuda, the $1.5 billion Silicon Valley company, as a board member.
